ISU Identity Font Information

The following is a list of all font faces in the two Iowa State Identity font families, Univers and Berkeley. This chart compares how the PostScript fonts are defined on Macintosh and Windows computers. On Macs, users will see eight fonts per family; four levels of boldness plus the italic faces for those four weights. On the Windows side, users will see two fonts in the Univers family and three fonts in the Berkeley family. In order to use all eight faces, Windows users must use combinations of BOLD and ITALIC style settings in their chosen applications. For example, if a Windows user wants to set a headline to the heaviest weight in the Univers family (Univers-Black), they would set the text to Univers 55 (the medium weight on a Mac) and set the style to BOLD.
