Building Supervisors,

The university has developed a central messaging campaign to encourage healthy behaviors and establish social norms for employees, students and visitors who return to campus. Having a consistent look and message is vital and fundamental building signage is a big factor in campaign success. The messaging is simple, clear and consistent, with attention to accessibility requirements.

A collaborative team has developed the fundamental signage that are available in the order form below. These signs are being centrally funded for all campus facilities, but please execute good fiscal responsibility when ordering…that is why the price is shown.

Please notify Erin Rosacker (edavison@iastate.edu) if additional, widely used, fundamental signage needs to be developed. Please do not develop your own signage. Custom signage is available through Printing Services, but will not be centrally funded. If you do require custom signage, place order requests using the Estimate Request form . Custom signage must be approved before production.

Please check back to this page often, as products may be continuously added.

Facilities Planning and Management (FPM) will be ordering and installing all signage that will be posted on building exterior doors, restrooms, elevators, and general university classrooms. We ask that all other building signage be coordinated through you, as the building supervisor, and that you coordinate with your department/unit heads for your internal building needs. Only orders placed by Building Supervisors will be filled.

Static Cling Signs (For Glass and Mirrors)

Description: 7.0 mil premium white static cling, Printed.
Non-adhesive film clings to glass
Custom print available with added cost.

Installation: The surface must be clean, smooth and as close to room temperature as possible. Cold surfaces reduce the cling of the vinyl. Small decals may be applied dry. Large decals should be applied by wetting the substrate and the decal with glass cleaner. Use a roller to smooth the decal onto the substrate.

Felt-Edge Wrapped Squeegee
This squeegee is a must have tool for flexible graphics application. It will help eliminate air bubbles and help smooth down vinyl without damaging your graphic. It is reinforced with nylon and has a black felt edge that will not scratch or mar the surface of digital prints or specialty vinyl.

Description: These signs are intended to be downloaded and edited based on room capacity or contact info.
Installation: Do not use regular tape to hang signs. Only masking tape or painter's tape should be used in order to avoid damage to walls and surfaces.
